Since you've cited the "recent directive," only a portion of it repeated quite often on this and another thread, I cite below two elements for your consideration.
1) "Discuss the issues all you wish, BUT DO NOT MAKE IT PERSONAL!"
2) "We are conservatives. Be respectful to your debate adversary (fellow FReeper). For example, do not accuse them of being a "Putinista", "commrade", "murderer", "baby-killer", etc, just because he may have a difference of opinion whether or not the US government should be involved in a controversial foreign war where we were not attacked."

Megan, you Freep-mailed me privately some time back, and we had a short and respectful exchange. I think you ardent in your views. We will differ, and in Robinson's verbiage, each of us might be "debate adversary" to the other.
I disagree greatly with your view that some are showing "their contempt for our host on FR and his recent directive on decorum."
His note -- not a "directive, as best I see it -- states openly that thre are debate adversaries. While some might be not to your liking, they are debate adversaries. I find none expressing "contempt" for the Robinsons nor the forum itself.
Comment # 104 details by quoting comments verbatim.
If, as a "debate adversary," you cite any "contempt for our host on FR", I for one should be most interested to read what you will cite herein. If not, I will consider you have no verbatim "contempt for our host on FR."
As this issue has become open to all to access via this thread, please do not respond only privately via Freep mail. Others should be able on a "debate" forum to see your citations on this issue.
