I had a grocery store try and take my military id because they thought it was fake.

I pulled the ol ‘turn it over and read to me what it says on the back’ routine and asked the manager if he was authorized to hold said property of the federal government. I offered to call the state troopers so they could check, but he opted to give me my id back.

Don’t F with a Navy Chief. My dad was a Leading Chief in an A-6 Squadron. Was at a reunion for his squadron a few years ago, and a retired Chief told me about a junior officer who was dressed down by dad. This Chief told the junior officer that it would be smart to heed the advice given because the CO has his back.
