What a great find! Thanks for posting the link to this great book. I can’t help but think of the horrendous butchering of the English language and the horrible petty meanness of Biden by contrast.
From the book’s preface: “Whenever Abraham Lincoln wanted to make a strong point he usually began by saying, “Now, that reminds me of a story.” And when he had told the story every one saw the point and was put into a good humor.”
Biden says “No joke” or “That’s the truth.”

Reagan had a bunch of note cards for jokes. There is a youtube with various comedians sitting at his old desk in his museum going over the jokes - they are pretty good.

Man...hes got a lot of brainless blurts. "C'mon maaan". "Look". "Here's tha deal". Can you imagine what Abe Lincoln would think to see this man speaking in public? Poor man would have to sit down and just breathe knowing biden was pOTUS.
