He might have been, but at least he never hurt anyone else (at least I’ve never heard any stories that he ever hurt anyone but himself).
Faint praise, I know, but he WAS an undeniably funny actor.

What we know is that he had a huge collection of vintage and antique art, mostly aesthetic or historical interest but certainly not what would be hard core today. And he never approached children inappropriately or it wouldn’t have been a misdemeanor.
