He was a pervert. Good riddance
was he Gay?
He was an imperfect person but was a talented actor who I don’t remember telling us what to think or who to vote for. He doesn’t deserve the crap he’s going to get on this thread.
I was neither a fan, nor did I hate him. But I will say I appreciate that they kept his failing health a family and private matter. A lot of people on this planet suffer through deaths daily, yet entertainers, athletes, etc., expect us to treat theirs personal lives and ordeals as something special and more important than most everyone elses.
Another fun character was the one he played in 'Mystery Men'.
I loved that character as well...movies were pretty good.
RIP PEE WEE.

‘I MEANT to Do That!’
.
My favorite.
I never watched Pee Wee Herman because the character was repulsive to me. I do have to admire Paul Reubens for not making his illness a big me-me-me deal, though, so RIP.
I think they had to keep him away from kids after he was caught being a pervert
I wonder if a plaque in his honor will installed in the basement of the Alamo? He did make it famous after all.
Don’t forget he was a pervert too.
I liked the bar scene with the bikers

“Why is your hand in my popcorn, Pee-wee?” “That’s not my hand, Dottie.”
Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure is easily one of the funniest movies ever and just good, silly fun. And having up-and-comers like Phil Hartman and Jan Hooks being a part of it is like icing on the cake.
But an actor like that who makes funny, family-friendly entertainment can’t afford any marks on their reputation. And, unfortunately, a couple of arrests pretty much ended his career. You couldn’t think of the character without being reminded of the arrests.
For twenty dollars I can tell you a lot of things. For thirty dollars I can tell you more. And for fifty dollars I can tell you **everything**. ~ Madame Ruby
RIP Wee.
Did he get the vax and then contract turbo cancer?
I loved Pee Wee Herman, too.
“Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” was HILARIOUS and so was Pee Wee’s Playhouse!
RIP, Paul Reubens.
I thought PeeWee’s Playhouse was a particularly good show.
