gonna tell you right now, my 12 year old AMD FX-8350 runs the latest Linux Kernel, OS and Office Suite just fine. Zippier and more responsive than MS Office and even runs MS Office O365 just fine. I'm honestly amazed myself.

Oh I know... What the newer distros can do is incredible. I actually installed Mint 18.3 32 bit on a 20 year old Emachine and had a totally acceptable modern net surfer.
