Netizens are questioning news reports that claimed that Tafari Campbell died from a paddleboarding accident. The 45-year-old worked as a personal chef to former US president Barack Obama. He died during his recent trip to Martha’s Vineyard. Internet users are finding it hard to believe that he died due to the water sport considering his proficiency in swimming.
Tafari Campbell was visiting Massachusetts Island from his Virginia home. He went missing in the Edgartown Great Pond waters on Sunday. Police endlessly searched for the food connoisseur until they received a call about a male paddleboarder who had reportedly “gone into the water.” The police announced that they were told that Campbell:
Their statement went on to add that Tafari Campbell was accompanied by another person who “observed him go under the water.”
The chef’s body was found eight feet underwater. It was also noted that he was not wearing a life jacket.
Law enforcement announced that the Obama family was not present at their residence at the time of Campbell’s accident.

Don't know what you saw but the video I observed showed him swimming very well in a lap pool........
I’ve always said the best way to survive a racial war in the US is to spend your summers swimming and sailing and spend your winters skiing.
Its a very minimalist DEI lifestyle.
It’s been over a half century since paddle boards were made out of solid wood. Paddle boards and surfboards are made out of Styrofoam shapes wrapped in a sheet of fiberglass. There is nothing dense or hard about a board unless maybe somebody bolted an accessory anvil to it. And they dent easily, One would have to do a serious wind-up to hurt ones self with a board. I did know a guy who got hit in the cheek with the pointy nose of a board and needed some repairs. A paddle board most likely doesn’t even have a skeg so there simply aren’t even any rigid edges to get hit with.
So I’m throwing the BS flag on the notion that a guy was fatally wounded/knocked out with a paddle board. Flat water, No surf, no speed involved, nothing.
For the same reason individuals not taught proper etiquette continue to wear their hats into restaurants......
Once upon a time I would have called that redneck ignorance but now I consider that just common ignorance......
someone just posted a pic on TS of odumbo with the fingers on his right hand bandaged.....hmmmmmm
Think Blazing Saddles.....
I read on the Interweb that the chef snapped a pic of Big Mike’s junk the day he drowned…
Here near Seattle, the "narrative" is that black adults (boomer generation) could not afford country clubs to learn to swim, so their kids and now the present black youth all have a fear of water and did not learn to swim.
As a sidebar - growing up in WA state in the 50's, it was manditory to show some swimming proficiancy to graduate from high school. In grades 3 to 5, all had school sponsored swimming lessons (part of the water proofing of a generation that has so much water around us).
The chef’s body was found eight feet underwater.
I grew up with a close friend who was A-A. This statement confirms something he told me.
Are you saying it’s easier to dig deeper in water?
It’s a necessary life skill.
Always be able to run, swim, throw something hard, pick up something heavy, create shelter, find water/food, etc.
Maybe mix some of Psychology’s Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs with real world applications.
Isn’t that the place where Teddy practiced diving?
Didn’t Barry and Big Mike have a big propane tank installed at their humble retreat?
50 posts and no mention of shallow water blackout. And the great pond he drowned in is brackish, mostly fresh water. There are also spots with quicksand.
Just saying
I remember Fuddy. Obviously a Clintun suicide.
At first I thought you were referring to Mitch McConnell.
EVERY aspect of this drowning has CHANGED since the first reporting!!
There’s NO INVESTIGATION!
Of course they did. We are the ones who are supposed to starve and freeze in the dark.
That would have been "acting white."
