He’s down to 9%. Rove and the rest told him he’d be coasting to victory by now.
He appears not to be the kind of guy that can think on his feet and change direction. Everything is entirely scripted. Just like the old lady, Pres Trump supporter that just happened to show up at his campaign stop, that had a couple of dozen people show up.
When your opponent draws 50,000 to a small town in western South Carolina you might want to rethink some things. Obviously DeSantis is not.

I’m not a fan. Just my opinion. He’s been dealt an unbeatable hand in Florida, as far as I’m concerned, and he gets quite a bit of credit for things the legislature is doing. But, hey, that’s politics, I guess.
20/20 hindsight and just my 2cents... and I preface this with the hope that he actually is the Conservative that he’s been pumped up to be....Stay in Florida - Continue to work with the legislature and counties/cities to make it even more Conservative - do what you can to help Pres Trump get sent back to DC - accept a position in the administration(AG, SecDef, SecState), get some of that experience and then be at the top of the ticket in 2028....but, NOPE.
Doesn’t matter. Trump will be the nominee and republicans will finally get our “first”. We always complain democrats get the “first” everything. We’ll finally we will be the leaders of the first president to….
