Clever fellow.
--- "others consistently point to (or did) the monetized “clickbait” of Rush Limbaugh or the Daily Mail or the NY Post or even the NYT, WaPo, Politico or npr. We wouldnt have much on FR without that."
You obviously don't make a distinction between actual and oft-quoted news sources, and "mom's" obsession with one, which seems her "daily bread."
Absent Davydov, there would be much -- almost everything -- on Free Republic. But without the beloved Denys the opening gambit of UMCrevmom's daily thread would evaporate. And without the Netherlands' ORYX, speedy's would as well.
Meanwhile Free Republic would be stuffed to the gills with articles enough for all.
I think your objection is entirely about your loyalties to a side in the Ukraine war. The rest of your arguments (and tone) are disingenuous.

Hello everyone from a new day of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The counter- offensive of the Ukrainian army continues unabated in four sectors of the front line.
The Russian army, which has suffered heavy losses, is having difficulty standing up to the Ukrainian army.
The phenomenon of war, which has become even more chaotic with technological developments, has become even more pronounced in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. We will examine the latest situation on the front line on the map in a moment. I would like to note that we will often mention the Ukrainian artillery and their outstanding achievements in our map analysis report. If you’re ready, let’s get started.
Let’s start our map analysis today with the latest situation south of the front line. In our recent reports, we often state that the tension on the Crimean peninsula has reached a high level. Now let’s focus on the Crimean peninsula.
As you can see, this peninsula has the geographical potential to become an important base of Ukraine on the Black Sea. In addition, Ukraine has the opportunity to establish a dominant area in the sea of Azov thanks to the Crimean peninsula. When we look at the western side of the Crimean peninsula, you see Odessa, which is a very important commercial port for Ukraine.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have two important objectives here. The first is to end the Russian occupation of the Crimean peninsula, which has been going on since 2014. The other goal is to establish a stronger line of defense against the Russian threat in the region after liberating the Crimean peninsula.
