The money will stop flowing if/when the economy collapses. People won’t give a damn about what happens outside of this country.

“They Pushed The Russians Too Hard And Now They’re All Doomed”

If so then it’s time to select a few thousand important targets in Russia and nuke them before they nuke us.

Putin told NATO/EU that war would happen if Ukraine joined NATO or the EU.

NATO/EU decided it was worth fighting a war to continue to expand its influence over Ukraine. After all it wouldn’t be NATO/EU citizens/soldiers dying so just Ukes and Ruskies.

Right or wrong. Doesn’t matter much now.

~~~
I missed it.
When did Ukraine join NATO or the EU?
“draw new borders at the Dneiper or whatever”
Let’s go with ‘whatever’ and draw the new border along the Moskva River. The Ruzzians can keep everything north of it and NATO will keep everything south of it as a buffer against any future Ruzzian aggression.
Except that Russia took Crimea away from Ukraine by force years ago.
Yes, after the coup in Ukraine (2014) they did covertly occupy and then annexed Crimea. I'm still not sure if the neocons in the Obama admin thought the Russians would sit idly by after they used a coup to toss Ukrainian leadership in a bid to align Ukraine with the West and pry the home of the Black Sea Fleet from Russia's control.
So even though I don’t recall a lot of cries for Ukraine to join NATO before last year, it would be understandable why they’d want protection from Russia.
There actually wasn't a lot of Ukrainian interest in joining NATO (you can find polls pre-2014 to demonstrate this), but this current conflict began in earnest in the 2008 Bucharest Summit Declaration. The neocons in the Bush admin pushed for this expansion, and while the German and French signed onto the declaration to maintain unanimity, they expressed reservations about the expansion into Georgia and Ukraine. link
Merkel also justified her veto of Ukraine’s accession to NATO at the Bucharest Summit 2008 by stating that Putin would have perceived this step as a “declaration of war”.
“why does Zelensky keep begging for more weapons “
That is why they are in the fight.They have enough wepons to outlast Russia due to our support and the support of other countries. I think that is very obvious.
“. Putin has long wanted negotiations”
Putin will not live up to agreements. They don’t even live up to migratory bird treaties and they never have lived up to treaties.
An observation about thread behaviors, drawn from simple experience.
On this and similar threads, the "original poster" posts and waits for responses. As comments appear, there is exhibited a divide between viewpoints. Sometimes a little heated, but mosly civil.
On two other threads, there are "mod-removed" comments (more than a few) as well as multiple posts by the original poster, some numbering as much as twenty and more. Attempts to enthuse their supporters, these threads garner many comments from rather a few players.
Comparing this thread to those this last day and more, one sees some similarities which the "fans" of both YouTubers might not have thought about.
Douglas Macgregor
"Since Jul 6, 2022, the channel has generated 12,648,492 views. Assuming all views were monetized from day 1* with an average RPM of $3.00, this channel has generated $37,945.48 over 385 days. That's an average of $35,974.28 per year."
Denys Davydov
The channel "Denys Davydov" is monetized! Since Apr 20, 2014, the channel has generated 335,884,158 views. Assuming all views were monetized from day 1* with an average RPM of $3.00, this channel has generated $1,007,652.47 over 3384 days. That's an average of $108,685.92 per year.
So in terms of making money off the non-NATO Ukraine war with non-NATO Russia, their is a cottage industry. I declare the Ukraine YouTube enthusiasts the winner in this wee contest, even as it seems Ukraine is losing a whole demographic generation of the future. One can win a battle and lose a war. But there are those who quite adeptly "win" money off of others losing lives. In that the Ukraine YouTubers seem quite effective.
It's numbers, really. Macgregor takes in his -- $35,974.28 per year. Davydov takes in his -- $108,685.92 per year.
I wonder what any of this has to do with actually fighting for or against Ukraine.... But the open therapy aspect of cheering for or against -- seems to function. And affects the outcome of the conflict NOT AT ALL.
--- "Putin will not live up to agreements."
Checking a conservative's view to government and specifically the White Powder House in the moment, it is sure that our nation also has not lived up to agreements. Ditto the EU. Ditto China. And so forth....
This may not be a point worth the argumentation.
"The Ukrainians are still fighting."
Survivors and late comers, mostly old men and young teens. The mercs have pretty much all left... Sizable groups now surrendering, mostly because regime agents will not arrange to evacuate their wounded.
Ukraine is not winning this conflict. A blind man can see that.
In my neck of the woods, even my 16 year old teen can see the Ukies are suffering immensely, losing “ hugely”. There are going to be ALOT of Biden’s Ukie war, war, war cheerleaders are going to wake up with a huge painful hangover listening to our corrupted MSM.
I am not shedding any tears on Biden’s “ Afghanistan debacle II”. I am scratching my head on how many Americans got sucked in - much like his Covid vax hoax, mandates, and shutdowns. Americans are well, just stupid, getting suction again to the “ Russian Derangement Syndrome “.
You can’t possibly be this delusional.
In a Covid world full of sheeple, anything is possible, plausible, and likely.
Agree with your assessment. Agree with your questions.
From my comments -- with sources throughout -- about the Covid hoax and lockdown assault on liberty, I think we are in a dangerous time when Americans are faced with the challenge as attributed to Franklin" "A republic, if you can keep it.”
I for one wish to keep it. I am sure you and others stand with this, too. Best wishes.
I'd agree, but we did sign the START 1 Treaty, the Lisbon Protocol and The Budapest Memorandum.
Many Ukraine politicians wanted to keep their nukes to forestall Russian aggression, but were given security assurances by the US, UK, France and China.
Russia, also, promised to respect Ukrainian sovreignity.
Why would Ukraine bargain in good faith when Russian promises are worthless?
There’s nothing wrong with Russia that a new Romanov Tsar wouldn’t fix.
In 2008 NATO announced that it wasn’t a matter of if Ukraine becomes part of NATO but when.
Prior this announcement, Germany and many pundits/diplomats warned that this type of policy would lead to war with Russia.
NATO didn’t care. 100000s of deaths were worth it for the chance to knock out Putin.
