Even my mom, way back in the day, told me not to stuff cash in the mattress or bury it in the backyard in mayonnaise jars. Inflation will eat up all of your savings. If you are doing more than living paycheck to paycheck you probably need the services of some sort of financial institution. Invest, and you can keep up with inflation. Hoard cash and you’ll likely be broke in a few years. Now, with that said, yes I have a small stash, and use cash occasionally. And as far as banning all cash? I seriously doubt that will happen. At least it won’t if people “express themselves in a clear manner”. This is a sure way to encourage a parallel economy.
