Based on what we have learned about the corruption inside the beltway over the years, I absolutely believe him.
Well that could be, but at the time, Ford’s pardon wasn’t considered or meant to be an exoneration, and it’s still conventional wisdom that Nixon was guilty of at least covering up the break in. Undoubtedly DeSantis was operating under that assumption when he made that statement.
