It certainly did not come easy.
I hurt myself and others for so many decades.
To get to the point where I could post that I had to sober up from intoxication and examine the wrongs of my own past closely and write out the letters of repentance.
I have not spoken the words of my amends to nearly enough people in my past maybe I never will be able to but my actions in everyday living and my words posted online in the spirit of a changed heart are a start.
Sinead O’Connor had four children heck in our day and age how many women bear four children or more that’s something to consider.
And by consider I mean some of them are still alive and they feel wounds. Not to mention other surviving friends or family.
Pray that they would find peace and serenity, sanity and sobriety in their lives.
It certainly was tough for Sinead to find it. She kept looking for it as I see it.
Good Night. God Bless.
There is not a person alive that hasn’t done or said things they regret. You did the right thing by making amends; it is cleansing to the soul.
But I bet you would be surprised by the number of people you have helped along the way. When I was at a low point, three different people that never met each other reached out over a two-week period to let me know I made a positive difference in their life. I honestly had no idea until they told me. It was as if God knew I needed reminding that the gift of life was truly precious and to cherish it. It gave me the strength to keep fighting.
I am so glad you are on the Path (and much further on the journey than I am). I pray God continues to bless you and thank you for being my inspiration today to be a kinder, more Christ-like person.
