Roger that. Air travel today is what Greyhound was 40 years ago, along with a Nazi "show us your papers and shoes" bunch of authoritarian. It's now a two tiered travel system. Commercial Carrier, and Private Part 135 charters.
I remember being made to wear a shirt and tie and get a haircut before traveling on an airline with family when I was a kid. It was an important event.
Air travel is much cheaper today so it's more accessible for everyone.
