To: Navy Patriot

I was 10 when we would go to the library in the summer. I loved science so UFO books were on my list. My mom wanted me to read something more educational, so the librarian handed me a stack of Alice O’Connor (pen name Ayn Rand) writings. She was a feminist, so she violated her own concepts, but she came from and knew of the totalitarianism of Marxism. I was hooked. A few years later Rush became my favorite band simply because they wrote song of her works, songs like Anthem, Bastille Day, and 2112.

Ayn was brilliant, but she occasionally needed a spanking so she wouldn't think about that brilliance so much.
