Here we are ag zoned, so many exemptions from stuff when agriculture property is involved.

Get them to pull the meter. I’ve pulled mine myself, but most states have written laws that allow utilities TO FINE YOU cause you are suspected of stealing electric. Broken world we live in.
An EE is more qualified than most electricians. I have/had the FCC radiotelephone license back in the 80s.

Not when it comes to public utilities. They have to turn off the juice and remove the cables. I do lots of other work, like running cables for the workshop and redoing the entire outdoor electrical systems for the pool and sewer pump and all that rot.
