What the hell is wrong with Lowe’s management? Are they sadists? I get that the woman broke company policy. But she didn’t set fire to the building, shoot a manager, or anything like that.
Suspend her for a few days. She’ll need the time to heal anyway.
I am a huge fan of Lowes. Own their stick and have given them many of my hard-earned dollars. This has me rethinking all that.
To be fair if they are serious about the policy which forces employees essentially to back away from or withdraw from obvious shoplifters, they had to fire her as otherwise (were they to retain her) management would be seen as approving of what she did (in direct contravention of the policy).
