Reagan was a hero for standing against Russian aggression and collapsing the Soviet Union. So sad that these alleged ‘Americans’ among us today are no different that the 1980’s leftists who constantly denounced Reagan.
Ah, I see
Yes I said long ago that Putin does not want to annex or occupy the whole Ukraine because he can’t afford a welfare state on his budget.
Soviet Russia— not Russia. The Soviet Federation. Died in 1989, and has not existed, except in dying off populations of “we want Stalin back for the good old days of the gulags” Communist Party retired hacks in marches in Moscow.
The country is a huge natural commodities seller non participant in world banking. Which is why the greedy consumptive world banksters want it demolished so they can move in. Oligarchs and actual corporations formed in Russia since 1989, with former Soviet Gorbachov consulted for incorporation, based in Democrat machine run San Francisco’s Presidio (sponsored office space by the City and State)— Gorby made millions bring the former Soviet state into a kind of global financing scheme. Which California and NY bankers made millions on in turn with stateside corporate accounts— NOT incorporated in Delaware.
The dinosaurs of 50’s thru 70’s intel retirees and their perpetuated agencies— all LONG for the days of Soviet Russia Russia Russia.Which is why they supported hitlery’s complete invention of the Steele Dossier sheep dipped thru a willing demonrat FBI and illegal faking out of the FISA court for surveillance of US citizens to set them up. The propping up of NATO (Jimmy Carter got rid of SEATO- which we need replaceds vs. the real threat— Chi-Coms) is another of the tropes of the dinosaurs of “the good ole days”, and also the propping up of the culture of the pro NAZI anti- Stalin Ukraine (Azovs) vs..... Russia Russia Russia. All to line the pockets of the persisting grift in DC of the uniparty that lives in the Past.
“Soviet Russia— not Russia.”
There are those on this site who disagree with you on this point when they cite that Ukraine was wrongfully taken from ‘Russia’ by Nikita Khrushchev. This claim clearly states a continuum between the USSR and Russia such that they are two names for the same entity.
If indeed the Russian Federation only came into existence in 1991/1993 then it has no legitimate claims on (or liabilities for) any territorial decisions made by the USSR.
Pick one.
Disagree. The war in Ukraine has become an albatross around Biden's neck. It is losing public support. Biden's incompetent National Security Team has doubled down on stupid. Billions of borrowed money on an endless proxy war is a liability. What will a desperate Biden Administration do in an attempt to turn this war around, a futile, dangerous, and costly task?
My bet is a hasty exit similar to the one in Afghanistan.
Nikita Krushchev? Once the Soviet Union fell in 1989 most, with some exceptions of the Soviet vassal states including Ukraine left the former CCCP.
The Cold War which intervened until 1989 has many Ukrainian connections.
The problem some “here” have is being able to separate the Socialists who remain in places like Belarus, Ukraine that remains, and other places (frankly to include the “leader” of the EU the Nazi dream— Germany. German Socialists, French Vichy Socialists..etc. Why the UK Brexited, no help from the pro German Irish Socialists doing it.
Ukraine will be partitioned. Nato is goading Poland in intrigue- to try to get Putin to mess with Poland. The idiots here do not understand the commitments. The Hungarians know what is up, for certain.
English is not your primary language, is it?
