These places are notorious for using up stuff and not throwing it out after expiration. Same with taco bell.

An engineer I worked with was adamant he’d never eat at a Taco Bell. He worked there in college. Among his comments he said, “The meat came in boxes stamped, ‘grade five, but, suitable for human consumption.”
