I saw Oppenheimer last night. Overall, an interesting biopic but I don’t think it will do well with most audiences. It is way too long, intellectual and muddled in places. Lots of politics injected into the movie. But, to it’s credit, it did not glorify Communism at all. They also tried to shoehorn nudity into the movie in some very awkward places.

Strauss (the movie’s nominal villain) was actually right on a lot of points, but was portrayed as a vindictive deep-stater (before such a thing was defined). I read his bio on Wikipedia. He was a very fascinating guy who held a lot of top level jobs despite having NO higher education credentials.

I'll wait for the Bowdlerized release. I'm fascinated by the whole Manhattan Project; I want to know the truth, but I don't need to know the naked truth.

Of all movies to have nudity, this one seems like a strange one to include it in. Guess I’ll find out when I see it.
