Wow... Sound of Freedom just edges out Mission Impossible.
I wonder why MI isn’t doing better. It was a decent flick.
Pretty intense, and I certainly don’t understand the folks that are upset about it.
You missed the tickle me Elmo, the Barbie annual fights at Walmart. A lot of people are fanatics on things.
They’re probably in Ghislaine’s little black book.
Is it documentary style, or it a drama movie meant to convey reality?
Lol. Excellent!
Nah were good she is out with her her cousin sister in law and her mom if she wanted date movie i would have gone our theater has recliners if i had to go its a 2 hour free nap without the hassle to get up
I think it will do well long term. Barbie will fizzle out at 200 million. Oppenheimer will go 350 million by the end.
I love it. Too funny.
It turns out I was decades ahead of everyone else.
I have several sisters and when they were little they had countless Barbie and Ken dolls.
I was not a big fan so I would take the Barbie heads from the Barbie dolls and swap them for the Ken heads.
Yes, it was me! I invented the idea for trannies!
I’ve done a bit of research on the popcorn matter. From what I can tell, the best and the healthiest home popcorn brand is “Skinny Pop”. It has the least additives, and best packaging.
For what it’s worth.
I saw Oppenheimer last night. Overall, an interesting biopic but I don’t think it will do well with most audiences. It is way too long, intellectual and muddled in places. Lots of politics injected into the movie. But, to it’s credit, it did not glorify Communism at all. They also tried to shoehorn nudity into the movie in some very awkward places.
Strauss (the movie’s nominal villain) was actually right on a lot of points, but was portrayed as a vindictive deep-stater (before such a thing was defined). I read his bio on Wikipedia. He was a very fascinating guy who held a lot of top level jobs despite having NO higher education credentials.
Thanks. If there’s a movie about Klaus Barbie that I will go watch.
Like Toy Story.
This was before Keye Luke joined Oland as #1 son.
Oland is the most underrated actor in ethnic-Chinese roles, in part since he was Asian on his mother's side to begin with.
This movie also was, I think, the non-roncom premiere of Ray(mond) Milland, decades before The Lost Weekend, and the most devilish role of his career, as Satan in King of Kings, with Capt. Pike (aka Jeffrey Hunter) as Jesus.
“Im surprised Oppenheimer didn’t do better”
It’s got a star-studded cast and interesting weapons/special effects, but at the end of the day “Oppenheimer” is a history/period flick. Remember, teens are the most frequent movie-goers in this day and age. I’m not shocked that Oppenheimer is failing to put up comic-book blockbuster numbers.
Barbie is doing well because it’s being watched but large amount of young girls out of school for the summer and their pathetic parents driving them to theater.
“ Barbie And Oppenheimer”
Combined they are called Barbenheimer.
There are T shirts and more.
I'll wait for the Bowdlerized release. I'm fascinated by the whole Manhattan Project; I want to know the truth, but I don't need to know the naked truth.
Oppenheimer opened at $33 Million which is remarkable for a serious drama, and the fact it is a 3 hour film. Question is do most of the those going to see it understand what it is about?
The 😵💫😵💫😵💫 went to see Barbie….meanwhile, as you say, SoF has grossed over $100M, to date….PTL.
