I am trying to get PublicSq (Public square) on my phone.
I went to the website to download it-It went to Google play store, but then it said my device is not compatible with it?
Has anyone else had this problem?
Cannot be put on an Android phone.
Do you have an iPhone or other?
You can just use your computer and go to the siteā¦
If you have an iPhone, use the App Store link, not the Google play link.
If you have an Android phone, how old is the Operating system? Your phone may be too out of date for the app to run.
Log off. Stay there.
Why do people even put up with such things? Why should customers be forced to jump through hoops to facilitate a business instead of the business jumping through hoops to facilitate their patrons?
If they don’t want to also facilitate my choice of telephone, then their loss for not wanting my business. We need to stop putting up with this extortion business model.
“If you have an Android phone, how old is the Operating system? Your phone may be too out of date for the app to run.”
It should not make any difference. Just like any website script they can set this in the app to accept any version.
I own shares but haven’t downloaded the app yet. It ‘could’ be that you have an android phone and google is not allowing the app at their store yet. They pulled that crap on Truth Social for several months as well, all because it’s a conservative site.
no disrespect but you have NO idea what you’re talking about. There is a behemoth enemy out there that hates everything conservative and WE have to jump through hoops for an even chance at using all kinds of platforms.
If they design the app to use the oldest possible version of Android they may not be able to use the most modern usability and security features.
“There is a behemoth enemy out there that hates everything conservative and WE have to jump through hoops for an even chance at using all kinds of platforms.”
This is all regulated by only the platform it’s self. It creates the App and controls what phone versions and Browser versions can access it’s site/business.
There is no one else that can prevent these from being set up to accept any and all phones and browsers.
This is a decision made by the domain/platform it’s self. They more than likely made a deal with Apple to make the App proprietary to just Apple. It is a common extortion business tactic to force customers to buy an apple phone to use their platform.
It just bothers me that so many in this country allow businesses to manipulate them this way. If we stopped accepting this tactic they would stop doing it. More just need to refuse to use the product/service until they change it to facilitate the customer.
I am a developer, and with just a few lines of code I could make that app compatible with any and all phone versions and browser versions. This is pure greedy manipulation coming from this domain. And the app could be served up and downloaded from the website it’s self, no need for the Apple or Google app stores at all.
Just bypass their 3rd party control with no problem at all... And no one can prevent it.
So see, I do know what I am talking about. The OP should not be having to jump through hoops like this to go join this platform. The platform should instead be facilitating the OP as a potential new customer.
“If they design the app to use the oldest possible version of Android they may not be able to use the most modern usability and security features.”
Sure they can, it is actually the opposite. The problem is older versions might not “let them track everything you do” like the newer versions will. Well they should not be doing that to their customers anyhow...
Public Square apps on Google Play
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.publicsq.app
It must work on some Android phones. I have not installed it my phone, but have an account on Public Square.
Another way for the deep state to collect social score data?
No thanks to this and any other similar app.
you’re wrong.
Thank you.
I just downloaded on my android phone with no problems. Maybe you have a really old version of Android?
No I am not... I got this. And any good developer will tell you the same. There is absolutely nothing that cannot be done personally in-house without any 3rd party controls or services required.
But these 3rd parties try to misrepresent the truth and claim it cannot be done without them. Absolutely false and fraudulent. You can personally serve up apps that facilitate any device with no problem at all. There is no need at all for their manipulation nonsense.
