I've been a big fan of this young, 14 year old violin virtuoso for a few years now; she covers a lot of rock & roll songs and classical music on her violin, she's incredible!
Give a listen.
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen | Karolina Protsenko - Violin Cover
ikr... 16th and and maybe even 32nd notes are no joke in that clip!
Of course, with the Saturday night post-sabbath party atmosphere she eventually changed gears, had her boom box play a fast beat, and threw down some pop/rock melodies from the past few decades. At that point I turned to my elder friend (he was in his 70's and I in my 40's at the time) and said it'd be funny if she played Orange Blossom Special. As God is my witness, a few minutes later she played it. And it was awesome!
But not as good as listening to a Japanese children's choir practice Awesome God (Rich Mullins) in Japanese. They let us in our party sing along with them in English.
good job! and the boy oscar with her on the next video is great too. future stars!
I was having diner one evening where a local violinist - who I knew - was playing in a trio. She asked me if there was anything I’d like to hear and I said In-A-Godda-Da-Vida.
What a dumb-ass!
I have seen her on YouTube for years. LOVE her! What a treasure.
Does she know “The Devil Went Down to Georgia?”
Yes, Warsaw was full of them when I was there last, but Munich was crowded with quartets. There must have been several dozen of them when I visited the downtown area.
That is awesome. Can’t believe I forgot Dreamtheater’s work. Thanks so much for the link
I just discovered her recently. A beautiful and talented girl. I have no interest in the music she performs but the performances are impressive. I would like to see her performing the classical repertory. The Paganini 24th caprice comes to mind.
I immediately recognized the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica since I lived on that street a few blocks north back in the 90s. Encountered a number of very talented and accomplished young musicians from Eastern Europe there.
What’s the difference between a violin and a fiddle? A lot of music I enjoy (Irish/Celtic, Country) is heavy on fiddle.
