The 19 year old has severe autism and he does not know what boundaries are, it is not is fault.
The parents should have been keeping a much close eye on him.
The three year old did nothing wrong.
The cops are wrong to blame the 3 year old.
I completely understand the parents of the 3 year old and someone should help them understand why this happened. Helping educate them I believe would help them feel more comfortable with why it happened and it does not involve pedophilia. For those who do not have special needs children I believe if you take a step back and read what autism involves you would be a little more compassionate.
Then the parents need to control their special needs children better. Any compassion that I may have ends when your special needs child lays hands (or any other part of their body) on my child.
This 19 year old may not be a pedophile in the usual sense of the word, but he does have a young man’s testosterone levels, probably has sexual urges he doesn’t understand.
His parents do need to watch him closely, need to stop taking him to children’s playgrounds, and explain to him the wrongness and the consequences of touching children, to whatever degree he understands.
And that is a rough rough job...how do you watch your child and still work to provide for him when you are gone? It’s not like the state is full of safe healthy homes for the mentally handicapped.
