No panels will pay for themselves with prices below .36 kwh. I've done the research, and deployed them for a Fortune 100 company on a grand scale. Solar will never pay for itself. It provides redundancy during the days, but no panels retain more than 98% of their capacity for more than a year, by year 30, the very highest quality will not have more than 75% of their capacity.
