Meek is currently in federal custody awaiting trial after a judge revoked his bail and declared he posed a risk to the community. That can't be good.
To: Libloather
He’s already shown a propensity for flight and some means for staying hidden for a time.
His bail is justly revoked.

Disgraced former ABC investigative journalist James Gordon Meek is reportedly set to plead guilty to federal child pornography offenses, which could have put him behind bars for decades.

I don't get it. Growing up I never heard of such a thing. I must have been 40 or 50 years old before I even heard of such a thing. I've never known any pedophiles are pornographers. What has happened to the world now? I never thought I'd see a day when we were living in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Dear Jesus come back soon.

See if he was pro-Trump or anti-ESG-score first.
It’s not out of the question for modern law enforcement, as compromised as it is, to start framing people.

Two CNN producers got into trouble for this.
But the MSM tells us it’s a manufactured problem.

It probably wasn’t as common and you didn’t hear of it back then because there was no internet.

“A plea deal...”
I’m trying to think what he has to offer. Is he going to rat people out...I doubt it. More like: “You served the Deep State well, so no more jail time for you.”

I’m trying to think what he has to offer.
The state almost never wants a trial. Like 90+% of cases end in a plea deal iirc.
To: mmichaels1970
Fredo’s producer at CNN got busted luring underage girls to his Vermont home.
I think he’s still in jail awaiting trial.

OMG, can they distort anything and everything without being questioned.
Make everything bleak and horrible and pretend you are Superman and will save you.
THIS IS SICK BEYOND BELIEF.

Growing up I never heard of such a thing. All through the 70's, my dad was a district court judge in a (then) small town south of Denver. I was just a kid and, unbeknown to him, I would get into his trial transcripts and read through them. There were a shocking amount of pedo crimes and Polaroids were common. In hindsight, I've often thought that if it was that bad in Littleton, I don't want to know what it's like in large cities - and in this time with the internet. The demons must be active everywhere at scales I don't want to even imagine.

Awaiting trial and going through the pre trial process from jail is an optimal way for the state to get a plea deal. Jails are packed with people who will never go to trial.
Unfamiliar with this case though. My general assumption is that unless you’re facing life either way, you’re likely not going to trial. Some do. But that’s like a couple percent.
Even accused murderers make deals and take life when death is on the table.

When I was a kid (late 70s/early 80s) we used to joke about creepy dudes we generically called Chester the Child molester. We knew it was a thing but we didn't take it seriously.
Ironically I was in a catholic elementary school t the time and one of the priests we had then is now rotting in jail for being a molester. He didn't mess with us (that I know of) as his tastes ran to high school age, at least that's what he got caught doing. But at the same time we were making those jokes the priest was actually that guy.
