Appears the amendment is a trojan horse, meant to make naysayers look bad. The media ran with it.
The entire bill, if passed sounds nice-nice but the devil is in the details and restricts a bunch if air-service at regional airports.
So, the bill isn’t about using public structures for accommodation of illegals but about tightening the grip on private sector flyers.
