I am loving this one so much. Wife? Daughter? He painted her often. What I find so curious is the exquisite detail in the ruffled lace on the sleeves and bodice, as contrasted with the great lack of detail in her hair. It looks perhaps like she had kinky curly hair that had been wrestled into submission, but which provided no major light and shadow because of its overall close-crimped texture. The hazel eyes are lovely!
