When I was a kid in junior high in the late 60’s we were told computers, which would be these big boxy looking things about six feet tall, would enslave us and eventually kill us off. Then it was pollution. We were all going to die because of, what ever, fill in the blank.

Then it was “The Population Bomb’’. We were going to be so over populated we'd literally be falling off the Earth. And of course in the early 70's it was the coming Ice Age.
