True enough. You don’t need it. But the yankees need to know what life is like in a “holler”. A lot of them have way over-the-top stereotypes. Like they think Pete’s Dragon is a documentary.
Imagine being from Alabama. No one I know ever had a sister-wife, lynched a black man, burned a cross, or married their cousin...
But that doesn’t stop the Yankees from thinking it is so.
