He’s a millionaire with a private jet. But now he’s selling it for the sake of the environment

Private jets emit at least 10 times more pollutants than commercial planes per passenger, disproportionately contributing to the aviation sector’s climate impact, according to a new report.

Pure Virtue Signaling -- If he were serious, he would permanently disable it, or scrap it, not sell it.

His jet is a death machine destroying the planet and life on Earth, selling it to another user does nothing.

I would like to learn more about his houses and the hotels he uses also, does he use hotels with vast energy consumption, brilliant lighting, refrigerators in every room, dry cleaners, full room service, and masses of employees driving in from outside the rich areas to serve his every need, or does he stay at a more environmental establishment with a desk clerk and a window unit A/C?

My employer had a few corporate jets. Our operations were in places where time saved was huge.

For example, we could get to one of our Canadian mills in 45 minutes vs 5 hours (bad and few flight connections) not to mention an over night stay due to those same limited commercial flights

The "He" in the article is Stephen Prince. A list of his writings for Patriotic Millionaires (We focus on three “first” principles: a highly progressive tax system, a livable minimum wage, and equal political representation for all citizens.) include a hatred for President Trump, a desire for an increased minimum wage and an increase of the estate tax, the statement that "Big government is not bad government" and other statist idiocy.

My suggestion is NOT to waste our time hitting these people on their hypocrisy, since when has it ever mattered to their supporters?

Think about it, does ANYONE who supports her care at all that Pelosi got INCREDIBLY RICH while on a (relatively) crappy Congressional salary?

I read of a celeb many years ago who had a redwood deck built.
She explained that the tree had already fallen so...

Taking a private airplane to go bird hunting. Right up there with the guy who flies to another airport just for a hamburger like Harrison Ford did.

FTA: There’s just one catch. Prince, an entrepreneur in the gift card and payments industry, may be ditching his jet – but he’s not going to give up private air travel entirely.

“I have a friend who’s going to let me lease his smaller aircraft,” he says, “It’s a twin turbo, which burns about a fourth of the amount of fuel of the Cessna – and I’m only going to use it two or three times a year to go out to a pheasant hunting preserve in the northwest corner of Nebraska.”
