I’m glad now that I did not get into this series,

Yes, me too - once you get invested in something you tend to get a "loyalty" vibe to it and then justify things to avoid confronting the reality of what it has been revealed to be. I'd like to say I've never done this myself with anything later revealed to not be as genuine as I had hoped, but it probably isn't true. And something like this is something people can get emotionally invested in if they are not careful.

For me, I’m slow to start things. However, once I start something I have to see it to its end. If that means staying seeing corruption in a storyline or staying up for a few days in order to finish something, I’m inclined to do that.
