The idea of carbon credits is that the Western countries are de-industrializing as service economies, switch to green energy, and only produce “high tech” read overpriced products and services whereas third worlders have draconian “green” tariffs put on them for the right to sell “dirty” stuff as the industrialized economies.
Count it as neocolonialism.
Too had it didn’t work and now they say that the sche doesn’t work in reverse.
I’d say good luck trying to put it to work as intended.
