Bigger question is why are the Secret Service doing traffic control and chasing vehicle infractions? This chase just killed people. Were bad tags actually THAT important??? To the Secret Service???

And the SS can’t stop a car? Even with radios and access to police etc? I think they were specifically looking for someone.

That was my first question as well. Would SShave jurisdiction on DC streets?

There has to be more to this than expired tags.

Were bad tags actually THAT important??? To the Secret Service???Depends on how close the car was to the White House.

Where does it say there was a chase?
It only states that the car driver fled. Likely left the SS behind.
