It’s apparently hotter than hell in the Texas prison where Josh Duggar is serving his 151-month sentence.
FCI Seagoville in Texas, where the 35-year-old convicted sex offender and former “19 Kids and Counting” star is doing time, reportedly has “no air conditioning” and is resulting in inmates “passing out.”
“Texas is having record-breaking heatwaves. Most of the buildings in Seagoville don’t have air conditioning for the inmates,” a Seagoville inmate’s loved one told the Sun on Wednesday about the all-male prison.
Last week, temperatures in Seagoville were in the 90s and even topped 100 degrees. There is currently an excessive heat warning in effect in the area until Thursday evening.

To me, the bigger question is what do you do with him. They always talk about that chemical castration. But I really just have no clue how well that actually works. Or does it turn them into some other kind of maniac with some sort of weird rage issues?

Couple of weeks ago we hit 115 here in the Permian Basin. Drilling rigs kept turning, pulling unit’s kept pulling and roustabouts kept doing what was needed, day light to dark, Screw a bunch of whiny azzed criminals.
I believe in the death penalty for rape, which includes of course an adult having sex with a child. Romeo laws allowed.
When a teen yeah remove him from the general population and try rehab.
But not torture. I can’t biblically endorse torture.
Agreed re work I don’t believe in slave labor but decent work farming and the like yes. Half the pay for their upkeep half into an account for when they get out. We need to work. Being idle all day is not good for anyone.
And throw a heat stroke in, at no additional charge.

If even one person is sitting in a cell that is innocent there should be some way to keep temps under95. Remember there are J6 prisoners who may be suffering the same way.
Give us 4 more years of Biden and what he did will not only be legal, it will be encouraged.

BFD, I’ve worked many a summer with higher temps outside all day. Try 104 while in full leathers welding all day under the sun.
There should be a/c in Southern prisons. Do they not have heat in prisons in the winter in the northern states?

All kinds of horrible things occurred in biblical times. Memorably, one prophet was imprisoned in the bowels of a dig out latrine. Just because it happened doesn’t make it right.
Biblical history doesn’t dictate our morality. Biblical law and precept does.
Anyway, properly done in no a/c venues I would Imagine the architecture is built for no a/c for instance thick earthen walls, ventilation. Modern architecture esp prisons probably traps heat in steel and glass and concrete and obviously no windows. Probably hotter than outside.
If there is no a/c you need to build so that people don’t expire from the heat I might think that would be obvious.

The recidivism rate for sex offenders seems to indicate that they are not.
