I spoke with a rabbi who said that most Jews are pro choice and the reasoning is that Israel does not have an army, they have a defense force. Their mindset is to always defend. When it comes to a pregnant woman, the agressor is the child in the womb and Jews want to defend the woman. That is why they are mostly prochoice including most rabbis. It’s twisted logic, but I understand how they justify abortion. I totally disagree with the ideas, but now understand why most Jews are pro choice.

I am kind of wondering what that has to do with a drone video of an explosion in Donetsk City?
My senior year in high school we got our sex education lecture.
The elderly teacher said “Guys keep it in your pants. Girls keep your knees together. End of sex-ed lecture.”
He nailed it!!!!
“... and the reasoning is that Israel does not have an army, they have a defense force.”
I think that’s reading a bit too much into it. I think it’s more a reaction to Christians who pester them to convert...so it’s to antagonize those Christians.
As far as Israel goes, it would make much for sense for them to be pro-life, due to demographics and the very small number of people there (at least until recently). Plus, most American Jews likely cannot even find Israel on a map (although they’ll point you right to DC).
You jumped on this thread with a totally unrelated topic that matches your tagline, and it is your one and only post of 2023?
