The 20 number is the approximate number of comments saying the same thing happened as the Tic Toc poster that put up the video explaining what happened to her. I don’t know if any are true. Did a search and found lots of other reports of issues like fire alarms going off, lights not being turned off, sound not being turned on, a different movie being played. Maybe it is just normal problems and nothing more. The movie is very controversial though. How a movie portraying pedophiles and child traffickers in a bad light can be controversial is still another question.

The movie opened in over 2600 theaters and is now playing in over 2850 theaters.

See my other posts, these claims are just ludicrous in terms of some grand conspiracy.

With nearly 3000 theaters showing the movie what? 4 or 5 times a day on average, that is 12,000 to 15,000 showings PER DAY, Of course there are going to be glitches in individual theaters with that many viewings for ANY movie.

Is it possible some individual rogue employee at a theater her or there did something trying to sabotage a viewing? Possible, but some corporate wide conspiracy? Be real.

What far more likely happened is folks who went to see this movie were far more likely to claim the issues were some sort of conspiracy, complain on social media, and the right wing media outlets latched onto it, and now even more people are feeding it should anything remotely go wrong during their viewing.

I did the math earlier here in another post, if you assume those 20 theaters all had their hvac problems on its biggest per screen day, and it took the theater out of action all day, the revenue affect would have been < 110k.

Folks need to relax. 12000 to 15000 screenings a day, of course there are going to be some that have problems.

Assuming 100 reported problems, hell even 1000 reported problems that’s a failure rate of 12000 to 15,000 x 7 days (july 4th through july 10th). a 1 in 84 to 1 in 105 screenings and that would assume all 1000 reported problems were in separate screenings.

100 reported problems would be 1 in 840 to 1 in 1050 screenings, again, assuming every problem reported was in separate screenings.
