Basically instead of using terms like “10-4” you are supposed to say “your message received”. Instead of saying CPR, it is cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, or don’t say FACP, say fire alarm control panel.
How stupid of them.
Try not to avoid or not use the International Phonetic Alphabet or the Radio Transmission Protocol. When time is important they can save your bacon.
