With my career in the fire service and 9-1-1, we did everything through acronyms. Then FEMA wanted us all to use “plain language”. That didn’t take too well, and FEMA now has a very thick manual of acronyms....so much for plain language.
What did FEMA mean by “plain language”?
The people who had been in my ES circle prior to the Bush Dynasty Department of Homeland Security (BDDHS) era mostly hated everything FEMA came and shoved down their throats, while many of the "nouveau riche" members who wanted to be the next big dogs became FedGov fans.
A lot of people with years of practical and valuable experience who were required to learn the FEMA "second language," re-train, re-test, re-credential and pretty much agree to become minions just said to hell with this and never came back.
