Obviously, you enlisted as a member of the Insensitive Imbecile club. There are many cat lovers on FR. We don't appreciate even joking about dead cats, having lost beloved pets along the way.
I too have lost cats. Primarily to the coyotes. There are other people that want to protect the coyotes.
Where I live now, the cats get bitten by poisonous snakes. But it’s illegal to kill a rattlesnake here!
I joke about everything, even my own death.
