Exactly! I’ve seen a lot of deleted comments on these threads. It’s censorship.
I can understand if the comments are vicious personal insults and they cross the line, but most of what gets removed are just posts that oppose the pro-Ukraine narrative.
Even the comment in question here (“globohomo spam”) doesn’t seem to be in violation, but that’s Jim’s call, of course, not mine. In my opinion, these daily threads with excessive replies to oneself *are* spam.
I’ve noticed that when they quote Jim’s much-needed and appreciated post from yesterday, they seem to omit this part:
“For example, do not accuse them of being a ‘Putinista,’ ‘commrade’, ‘murderer’, ‘baby-killer’, etc, just because he may have a difference of opinion whether or not the US government should be involved in a controversial foreign war where we were not attacked.”

Only moderators have the ability to censor inappropriate comments when some freepers are incapable of self-censoring.

I do not use references as you mentioned. Also, you know REPEATEDLY I have I have stated, even while being subjected to negative comments that:
I firmly believe everyone is entitled to freedom of thought and expression. I am not here to be responsible to dictate a viewpoint. The responsibility for each individual is to weigh information and develop their own point of view.
I have a sense of obligation to share information that others may not have access. Actually, sharing, discussing & learning is what Free Republic is all about! :)
As I am interested in political topics, I rather choose to compare different views to determine which is based on truth and facts with logic and empirical evidence. I can also tell you that I have learned from people whose views are opposite mine. But not because their viewpoint influence or control mine. Instead, because they push me to research further for confirmation of my views.

Well you know, it is okay when they do it. These are the same types that insert themselves on Trump threads to add nasty comments about Trump because he wants this debacle to end and they want a major world war.
Anyone, I mean anyone, who doesn’t support this continued US proxy war for no good reason for America is insulted or accused of working for Putin.
Fact is they better get used to it because Americans are tired of it and this financial drain and focus on a country that we feel very little for has really gotten sour.
The US never did have any business over there messing around, setting up biolabs, laundering money, committing crimes and trying to get those people to start a major war with Russia. I don’t want to hear their BS that what I just said isn’t true because some real US vermin are on video actually doing that.
I really enjoyed mom's use of highly selective quotes from Jim Robinson's recent directive. He was specifically calling out Youcraniacs who abuse non-Youcrainiacs by hurling "communist" and "Putin Puffer" etc. insults at them.
Mom's implicit denial of flagging comments was hilarious but also pathetic in light of the fact that last week she got irrefutably busted doing precisely that when she accidentally hit the "comment" button instead of the "abuse" one on Youcrayne-critical comments she was trying to have censored.
That's all any critical, rational and honest person needs to know when sizing up the veracity of the info on these Youcrayne propaganda blast threads.
