Ukraine is increasing the resources needed for the heating season.
As informs Censor.NЕТ, this was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“We are preparing for the new heating season. We have accumulated 1.5 million tons of coal in warehouses and 10.4 billion cubic meters of gas in storage. We continue to increase our resource reserves,” he wrote.
The Prime Minister also noted that 435 heat supply facilities had been restored.
“We are focusing our efforts not only on restoring but also on protecting energy facilities from Russian attacks,” Shmyhal emphasized.
Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, announced the start of gas injection for the next heating season on April 17, 2023. According to him, since October 7, 2022, just over 5.5 billion cubic meters of gas have been withdrawn from Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities.
