Let me take a skeptical viewpoint. The sniffing sound, sounds like it could be fake, that is, it could have been externally added to the video. Naturally, I could be wrong but that was my first impression.

No adult with any integrity and a sense of morality would EVER tell a child “Don’t tell mommy what I told you.” NEVER.
He is right there with the teacher’s union whispering to kids “Don’t tell mom or dad we are going to transition you. Don’t tell mom or dad we are letting you put on girl [or boy] clothes in the secret closet. Don’t tell mom or dad you are choosing your own pronouns.”

All that said, I suspect the reality of the sniffs and I don’t think it’s recent. To say he looks good in the video is putting it a bit strongly, but he looks a lot better than he has recently
