That’s what we’ve been taught anyway. Could it be we are the evil ones? I mean we can’t stop sticking our nose in everything.

08 Jul: FOOLED & OUTPLAYED. Russians Reinforce THE WRONG FLANK | War in Ukraine Explained
Reporting from Ukraine

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the five hundredth day of the war.

Day 500: Jul 08

Today there is a lot of good news from the Velyka Novosilka direction.

After conducting a successful flank attack and collapsing the Russian defense north of the gully, Ukrainians finally set conditions to make the next move – attack Pryiutne. If we look at the topographic map, we can see that Ukrainians not only secured the first elevated platform but also got toeholds on all 3 ridges of the next elevated platform. Advancing along the ridges instead of valleys allows to advance much easier, split enemy forces into small groups and sometimes even force the enemy to abandon certain positions without a fight if these positions are in the lowlands.

According to Russian sources, for these purposes, Ukrainians were creating 2 assault groups – one near Makarivka and one near Levadne. Combining this knowledge with the topography, we can see that Ukrainians basically had 3 choices: attack along the ridge from Levadve, attack along the ridge from Novodarivka, and attack along the ridge from Makarivka.

Russian sources reported that Russian Air Force conducted several airstrikes in an attempt to undermine Ukrainian offensive capabilities, however, even Russian analysts concluded that the effectiveness of these strikes was likely low due to the fact that Ukrainians spread out their forces extremely thinly, minimizing the potential damage from the use of the most likely Russian weapon. And it turned out that this was true because shortly, the Ukrainian 35th and 128th Brigades finished regrouping and conducted their first assault.

The commanders of the assault units decided to advance along the broadest ridge and simultaneously assaulted Staromaiorske and the first Russian defenses on their way to Pryiutne. As expected, they faced tough resistance and started slowly reinforcing the assault groups. Russians understood that this was their best chance to hold the line because of the proximity to the main supply hubs, which is why they responded reciprocally and reinforced their defensive positions.

Unfortunately for Russians, this was not the main axis of advance. The goal of this series of assaults was to fix Russian troops and draw their resources away from the most unlikely direction – Novodarivka. Even though Ukrainians had a toehold on the ridge here, conducting an attack from here was still extremely complicated due to the small river and valleys around Russian positions. However, the element of surprise played a decisive role, and Ukrainians advanced by more than 3 km. Ukrainians immediately doubled down and opened the second axis of advance – from Levadne. This attack was also highly successful, Ukrainians advanced by around 3 km and entered the tree lines in from of the settlement.

Russians understood that they had very little time to push Ukrainians out before Ukrainians got entrenched, which is why their urgently relocated their tanks to this region and conducted a heavy mechanized counterattack. Unfortunately for Russians, the counterattack was unsuccessful, Russians lost their tanks and failed to recapture any positions. This combat footage was quickly geolocated, and it turned out that the battle took place just 500 meters north of Pryiutne. Right now, Ukrainian positions are 1 field away north of the settlement and half a field away west of the settlement. Russians once again found themselves in a tight salient, and it looks like they are going to abandon their positions due to the crossfire very soon.

The Ukrainian Chief of General Staff, Valery Zaluzhny, stated that Ukrainian fighters are doing a great job and that so far, everything is going according to plan. Today General Zaluzhny celebrates his 50th birthday, which coincided with the 500th day of the war. As Zaluzhny concluded, at this point, even though fighting will continue to be extremely difficult, Ukrainian Armed Forces will for sure not embarrass themselves because gradually but steadily, Ukrainians are successfully liberating their land.

I would like more information about the pay - it sound interesting. I can argue anything, and even have different personalities for different accounts, if the money is right! some of these are so transparent (ok I will just make this one the ‘always angry, instant personal attack’ account,’ tell me you don’t know who I mean...)

These in the Asov brigade are the ones who were wanted for war crimes against civilians in the donetsk area.. It is very sad that you are celebrating the release of war criminals.You aren’t properly considering the moral implications of some evil things that you post.

“moral implications”

There are two sides of a coin.

Some label war criminals others heroes. Notice, how the citizen crowd perceive them.

Ukraine's Offensive Suffering Heavy Losses, Azov Commanders Return

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for July 9, 2023:

- Ukraine’s offensive is headed toward week 6 - at one and a half months, Ukraine still has not breached any of Russia’s primary defense lines;

- The US and its allies are attempting to replace lost Ukrainian equipment amid the ongoing offensive;

- The US is sending an unspecified number of 155mm cluster munitions due to a shortage of 155mm artillery ammunition;

- The US is also sending additional 155mm artillery pieces as Ukraine suffers heavy losses of equipment amid its now 5 week-long offensive;

- The US is also sending additional Bradley and Stryker vehicles in its most recent assistance package;

- Ukraine’s Swedish-equipped brigade demonstrates how even before officially becoming a NATO member, Sweden is seamlessly complicit in NATO wars and proxy wars;

- Discussed “security guarantees” for Ukraine are simply ways of rephrasing existing support and another example of NATO weakness spun as “strength;”

- Western media hails Azov leaders’ return to Ukraine despite previous coverage of their extremist ideologies;

I would like to share important Donbas & Crimea info to understand the Ukraine stand against the Russian invasion:

The Act of Declaration of Independence of Ukraine was adopted on 24 August 1991.The Act reestablished Ukraine’s state independence. The same day (24 August), the parliament called for a referendum on support for this Declaration of Independence:
“Act of Declaration of Independence of Ukraine
In view of the mortal danger surrounding Ukraine in connection with the state coup in the USSR on August 19, 1991:
“Continuing the thousand-year tradition of state development in Ukraine, Proceeding from the right of a nation to self-determination in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and other international legal documents, and
Implementing the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic solemnly declares the Independence of Ukraine and the creation of an independent Ukrainian state – UKRAINE.
***The territory of Ukraine is indivisible and inviolable.
From this day forward, only the Constitution and laws of Ukraine are valid on the territory of Ukraine.
This act becomes effective at the moment of its approval.
— Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, August 24, 1991

On 26 August 1991 more than 200,000 Lviv and Lviv oblast residents declared their readiness to serve in the national guard. The referendum took place on the same day as Ukraine’s first direct presidential election; all six presidential candidates supported independence and campaigned for a “yes” vote.

In the independence referendum on 1 December 1991, the people of Ukraine expressed deep and widespread support for the Act of Declaration of Independence, with more than 90% voting in favor, and 84% of the electorate participating.

An APRIL 2014 International Institute of Sociology poll of all of the oblasts of southern and eastern Ukraine other than Crimea (which was already annexed by Russia by that point) found MAJORITY OPPOSITION TO SECESSION from Ukraine and annexation by Russia in all of these oblasts.

OPPOSITION TO SECESSION FROM UKRAINE AND ANNEXATION BY RUSSIA had these percentages in various southern and eastern Ukrainian oblasts:
• 51.9% Luhansk Oblast
• 52.2% Donetsk Oblast
• 65.6% Kharkiv Oblast
• 78.8% Odesa Oblast
• 81.5% Zaporizhia Oblast
• 84.1% Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
• 84.6% Kherson Oblast
• 85.4% Mykolayiv Oblast

This source is noted for inaccuracy & unreliability: systematic misinformation within an overview summary of deceptive misstatements.

This source regarding content purpose appears to be just deceptive “systematic misinformation.” Definitely without use a balanced geopolitics perspective to the point that commentary is basically psych-op active disinformation.
