Maybe 1977? I doubt it was 1976 playing Hotel California stuff in early July. Though they were recording in Miami so being in Tampa sorta could fit.

I saw them November 10, 1976 in Ames and they were playing stuff from “Our next album, Hotel California” that wasn’t out yet.

Looked it up. It was released Dec 8, 1976.

You are right. When I saw them a year later at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando was Hotel California, I just looked up the Tampa set list:
