“… a 7’4 athlete pushing a troubled 5’ woman…”
She’s not. That. Innocent.
It wasn’t the player who hit her. It was the director of security for the Spurs basketball team.
The use of force here was grossly disproportionate. She was not a threat and no jury is going to find a tap on the shoulder harmful or offensive. The Spurs are on the hook since it was there employee who did it. They would be wise to settle because backhanding a woman in the face hard enough to knock her to the ground when she did nothing harmful or offensive is not going to play well with a jury.
Wembanyana is the young kid that is taller than the 7’1” David Robinson, 6’10” Tim Duncan, 6’6” Manu Ginobli, and 6’8” Sean Elliot, all former champion San Antonio Spurs in the photo at the link. The kid can play (and is still growing) but he hasn’t taken an initial tip off yet. We will see - but in comparison to Brittney Spears, He is the headliner of today, not yesterday. The Spurs want to protect their 19 year old investment.
“Backhand to the face” is the description used by the Spears fanboys. Could it merely have been the security person stepping in between the two and the fragile has-been gets knocked down?
I wouldn’t recognize her if she came up and “tapped” my wife on the shoulder.
EC
>There is a long used term for “backhanded in the face.”
Used in big cities to keep women in line and subservient.<
She’s lucky then. she’s lucky she didn’t get a fist in the jaw.
I definetly would want him for my security guard.
Reports are no charges will be filed.
That sounds fair. As a former celebrity with security of her own, she should have known better than to interfere with Wemby.
Being coy.
I want to continue here and this forum is extremely important to my lonely and isolated life now that my wife passed away.
I am trying not to cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war in every post.
