With weapons for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, and support for membership in European Union and NATO, Czech Republic is really helping to bring victory closer.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference in Prague after talks with Czech President Petr Pavel, informs Censor.NЕТ referring to Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Zelenskyy, “we discussed a possible response to the terrorist threat posed by Russia, in particular the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant,” as well as “the spread of Russian propaganda, which, unfortunately, still has an impact in Europe, both in the Czech Republic and in other European countries.”
According to Zelenskyy, “the Czech Republic can help engage the states of the Global South in joint peace efforts, including the implementation of the peace formula.” “We have started this work, I believe it is successful, but we need help in this direction,” he said.

Over the past day, the enemy lost more than 300 soldiers, including 116 killed, in Tavria direction. In addition, Ukrainian defenders destroyed five enemy ammunition depots.
Major Valeriy Shershen, spokesman for the joint press center of the defense forces of Tavria direction, said this at an online briefing at the Military Media Center, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to him, missile and artillery units of the defense forces of Tavria direction performed 1,293 fire missions over the past day. Powerful strikes were made on enemy personnel concentration areas, and five ammunition depots were destroyed.
“We should not forget that the enemy’s manpower prevails. A characteristic feature [for enemy units] is constant rotation. However, we destroy the enemy’s potential and create the proper conditions for moving forward,” Shershen said.
According to him, the enemy has to constantly redeploy its units in the south in anticipation of another attack by the Ukrainian troops. This creates chaos, which our units take advantage of.
“The enemy does not know and does not guess where a major breakthrough may occur, so they redeploy their units from time to time, strengthening one or another direction. This creates a certain chaos, which we take advantage of,” the spokesman said.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the Ukrainian troops have liberated about 1,900 towns and villages.
“We have been able to significantly reduce the scale of this war, first of all, thanks to the weapons we are getting, and this is a fact. We have regained about 1,900 towns and villages of the Ukrainian land since February 24 last year,”
President Volodymyr Zelensky said at a meeting with representatives of Bulgarian political circles, the public, and media, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He emphasized that Ukraine still has to go through a very difficult path to liberation of the entire territory from the occupation, but, according to him, victory may happen “not in the distant future, but rather soon.”
“Ukraine’s victory is real, and we really need it now,” Zelensky emphasized.
He explained that everything depends on the amount and strength of support that Ukrainians use for defense, namely, support with weapons, sanctions against Russia, as well as finances for Ukrainian stability.

In a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his visit to Sofia, Bulgarian leader Rumen Radev called Russia’s war against Ukraine a “conflict” and reiterated that he did not support the supply of Bulgarian weapons to the Ukrainian defence forces, calling for peace talks. Zelenskyy explained that Ukraine is at war and commented on Radev’s dubious position on provision of weapons.
As noted, the Bulgarian president called the declaration signed on 6 July on supporting our country on its way to NATO an important step, but disagreed with the transfer of ammunition, especially from Bulgaria’s stockpiles, as he “as president and commander-in-chief has his responsibilities,” Censor.NET reports citing ZN.UA.
“I continue to maintain that there is no military solution to this conflict, and the provision of more and more weapons is unlikely to lead to such a solution. It is important to focus on consistent efforts for de-escalation, for a ceasefire and for finding peaceful solutions through diplomatic means,” Radev added.
In response, President Zelenskyy thanked the people of Bulgaria for sheltering many of our citizens. He expressed hope that Bulgarians understand that there is a war in our country, not a “conflict”.
“During a conflict, millions of people do not leave the country, so we know very well that this is not a conflict, but a war,” the head of state added.
He also asked whether the Bulgarian leader does not support the supply of shells to the Ukrainian army in order not to weaken his own army, or whether he opposes strengthening Ukraine, as “these are different things”.
