I read where Titan was towed behind the support ship & may have contributed to the fatigue on the submersible.
It was on a towing platform. It had been to titanic twice so the two prior trips had fatigued the carbon fiber already. There is a lifespan to carbon fiber under that amount of stress. They didn’t know what the lifespan was. Never did testing.
