Next thing we will hear is that Russia is joining NATO and Putin will be Secretary General.
Either this is untrue or something is up.
Twitter users mocked the U.S. Navy's Pacific Fleet for a post that was published on its website in honor of the nation's Independence Day. The reason for the laughter was an image attached to the greeting with silhouettes of Russian Su-27 fighter jets and a Soviet large anti-submarine ship built on Project 61.
"Is the U.S. Pacific Fleet deserting?" wondered Twitter user Tore. "Su-27 and Russian destroyer. Well done, US Navy." user Andy posted a comment. "At least it's not a rainbow flag." mac attack added sarcastically.
It is noted that after a flurry of criticism from the channel's subscribers, the US Navy's Pacific Fleet press service deleted the scandalous post. [link to voennoedelo.com (secure)]
Who is the Commander Clip-Art that creared this?
Do sailors wear this gear? Do Americans salute with their left hand? Awesome job Navy.
In my opinion, it was not ignorance or stupidity...in other words, not a gaffe.
Moronic statement.
The salute is being rendered towards the reader, not the background.
Hello - right hand?
Good to hear that our military RESPECTS our potential opponents and prefers that World War 3 NOT happen. Too bad the Leftists (Ukraine War supporters) will NEVER think the same.
