As John Adams and others said (paraphrased), "'Democracy' only works for a moral and religious people."

I don't know if this is what he was thinking, but "representative government" has too many loopholes and opportunities for abuse if its citizens are not firmly bound by Judeo/Christian morality and conscience.

Joe Biden is a perfect example...as is the Democrat party.
